They reached the Gjallarbrú soon after, besetting a horrified Modgud before passing beneath the golden thatch of the bridge. The draugar were becoming impatient now, their insatiable desire for flesh and blood burning in their minds, consuming all other thought. As they reached the end of the bridge they saw that the way was blocked by mountain of huge rocks, as if the tunnel beyond had collapsed, blocking the path the human had taken.
