abstract:Christos Tsountas (1857–1934) was a Greek classical archaeologist. He was born in Thracian Stenimachos, (present-day Asenovgrad in Bulgaria) and attended Zariphios high school in Plovdiv.
Further digging at Mycenae in the 1880s and 1890s by ChristosTsountas, a competent Greek archaeologist, revealed that, just as he had at Troy, Schliemann mis-dated his discovery.
