abstract:Christopher John Penrice Booker (born 7 October 1937) is an English journalist and author. In 1961, he was one of the founders of the magazine Private Eye, and has contributed to it since then.
The taste for satire started at Shrewsbury School, where he wrote for the school newspaper, as did his near contemporaries, ChristopherBooker, Richard Ingrams and Willie Rushton.
The climate sceptic columnist ChristopherBooker applauded her volte-face, arguing that previously she had been "under the spell" of her adviser the former UN ambassador Sir Crispin Tickell.
