abstract:Carrom (also known as Karrom) is a "strike and pocket" table game of Eastern origin similar to billiards and table shuffleboard. It is found throughout the East under different names though most non-eastern people know it by the East Asian name of Carroms (or Karrom).
Most legspinners always did this with the top-of-the-hand googly, but now the variety of doosras and carrom balls developed mainly by Asian players, such as Murali and his fellow Sri Lankan Ajantha Mendis, have made the one that goes the other way the province of the off-spinner, too.
