The syntheses of oxo-heterocyclic compounds via palladium-cactalyzed intramolecular wacker reaction were introduced briefly. Using substituted benzaldehydes and substituted phenylpropyl sulphones as starting materials,a series of olefins with diphenolic hydroxyl groups were synthesized via Julia olefination.
