abstract:Brazil is the world's fourth largest market for beer with over 88 million barrels produced in 2010and annual per capita consumption of 53.3 litres.
The beer maker, which counts Budweiser among itslabels, posted a steep fall inprofit for the firstquarter, to 844m, partly because sales in Brazildrooped.
It is also now the world's biggest beer producer, brewing 44bn litres in 2010, followed by the US (23bn litres), Brazil (12bn litres) and Russia (10bn litres).
