abstract:Asteroseismology (from Greek , astēr, "star"; , seismos, "earthquake"; and , -logia) also known as stellar seismology is the science that studies the internal structure of pulsating stars by the interpretation of their frequency spectra. Different oscillation modes penetrate to different depths inside the star.
