The two principal teachers are Hector (Richard Griffiths), a sixtyish humanist who believes in educating souls, and his antagonist, Irwin (Stephen Campbell Moore), a slick new man, who teaches clever exam-taking skills.
He has the ruthless, delusional fanaticism of acleverman who is frightened of being toppled and perhaps put on trial for his copious human-rights abuses.
