abstract:In Greek mythology, Aeëtes (also spelled Æëtes) (), (Georgian and Laz აიეტი, Aieti), was a King of Colchis, son of the sun-god Helios and the Oceanid Perseis (a daughter of Oceanus), brother of Pasiphaë and Circe, and father of Medea, Chalciope and Absyrtus. His consorts were Eidyia and either Asterodia the Oceanid, Neaera the Nereid.
