雅砻（lóng）江是金沙江的最大支流，又名若水、打冲江、小金沙江，藏语称尼雅曲，意为多鱼之水。中国水能资源最富集的河流之一。发源于巴颜喀拉山南麓，经青海流入四川，于攀枝花市三堆子入金沙江。石渠以上为石渠河，流经丘状高原地区，河床宽浅，水流漫散。石渠以下称雅砻江，由于山原地貌逐渐进入高山峡谷地带，为横断山区北南向的主要河系之一。全长1 571千米，四川境内1 357千米，流域面积13.6万平方千米，河口多年平均流量为1860立方米每秒。
