流水经济(Natural Economy)简单地讲就是自给自足的经济，没有商品交换。它指生产是为了直接满足生产者个人或经济单位的需要，而不是为了交换的经济形式。 自然经济，商品经济的对立面，私有制经济的一种表现。是存在于市场范围比较小的一种经济形态，是社会生产力水平低下和社会分工不发达的产物。该种经济形态占统治地位的持续时间涵盖原始社会、封建社会以及早期的资本主义社会与半殖民半封建社会。
