物质循环的概述 生态系统的物质循环是指无机化合物和单质通过生态系统的循环运动。生态系统中的物质循环可以用库(pool)和流通(flow)两个概念来加以概括。库是由存在于生态系统某些生物或非生物成分中的一定数量的某种化合物所构成的。对于某一种元素而言，存在一个或多个主要的蓄库。在库里，该元素的数量远远超过正常结合在生命系统中的数量，并且通常只能缓慢地将该元素从蓄库中放出。物质在生态系统中的循环实际上是在库与库之间彼此流通的。在单位时间或单位体积的转移量就称为流通量。
