简称“地压”。地下采矿中亦称“矿山压力”、“岩石压力”。也叫地层孔隙压力，指作用在岩石孔隙内流体(油气水)上的压力。没有被孔隙内流体所承担的那部分上覆岩层压力称为基岩应力。 地层压力全部由流体本身所承担。油气层未被钻开之前，油层内各处的地层压力保持相对平衡状态。一旦油气层被钻开并投入开采，油气层压力的平衡状态遭到破坏，在油气层压力与井底压力之间产生的压差作用下，油气层内的流体就会流向井筒，有时甚至喷出到地面。（自喷采油，到后期，压力释放较多后不能自喷，注水、抽油机采油）
