梅洛又常译作美乐、梅鹿辄等，是一种广受青睐的优质波尔多品种，在世界各地普遍种植。果粒中等偏小，球形、青黑色，皮厚一般，果肉多汁。由梅洛酿成的酒颜色较赤霞珠的浅，单宁含量低、酸度也弱，因此是款适宜在年轻时就饮用的酒；同时也是一款易被初涉者接受的酒。
