桂花（学名：Osmanthus fragrans，英文Sweet Olive），木犀科木犀属，又名“月桂”、“木犀”，俗称“桂花树”。常绿灌木或小乔木，为温带树种。叶对生，多呈椭圆或长椭圆形，树叶叶面光滑，革质，叶边缘有锯齿。花簇生，花冠分裂至基乳有乳白、黄、橙红等色。中国有包括衢州市、汉中市在内的20多个城市以桂花为市花或市树，桂花以其淡然贞定品格为世器许。
