《广播与电视技术》创刊于1974年，是由国家广播电影电视总局主管，国家广播电影电视总局广播电视规划院主办的国家级优秀科技期刊和专业核心期刊。2001年入选中国期刊方阵，并被国家新闻出版总署评为“双效期刊”。2002年被评为“国家期刊奖百种重点期刊”。
2005年，《广播与电视技术》成功主办首届“中国广播电视行业十大技术关键词”评选活动，在业界引起很大反响。
