光固化（photocuring）是指单体、低聚体或聚合体基质在光诱导下的固化过程，一般用于成膜过程。技术具有高效、适应性广、经济、节能、环保的特点。 不饱和聚酯树脂的光固化；光谱中能量最高的紫外光产生的活化能，能够使不饱和聚酯树脂的C—C键断裂，产生自由基从而使树脂固化。当不饱和聚酯树脂中加入光敏剂后，用紫外线或可见光作能源引发，能使树脂很快发生交联反应。
光固化（Stereolithography）是一种快速成型技术，是通过一定波长的紫外光照射，使液态的环氧丙烯酸树脂高速聚合而成固态的一种光加工工艺。
