豆方是最具潮汕特色的传统名点之一。在中秋前后，豆方是中秋祭拜月亮娘娘必备的祭品之一，或者是结婚的时候，也要准备豆方供客人享用并作为礼物带走。作为广东潮汕人津津乐道的一款甜味零嘴，说起豆方人们就会随即想起它那香脆酥甜令人回味无穷的口感。 潮汕小吃豆方实际上是花生糖，因为潮汕人管花生叫做“地豆”，所以就把做成方形的花生糖叫做“豆方”，发展至今。“豆方”有了甜与咸两种口味。
