谭湖，俗称谭老平，淇县南大李庄人。20岁时，拜石奶奶庙辛老常为师，开始学医。30岁左右独立行医，兼开药铺。后收徒弟五六人，善治从不收诊费，售药也很便宜，在群众中享有盛誉。
