熊过，自贡富顺县人，明朝“西蜀四大家”、“嘉靖八才子”之一。明朝嘉靖八年（1529）年进士，翰林院庶吉士，累官礼部祠祭郎中。因议论朝政得罪皇帝，被罢官流放云南。复削职为民，卒于家。
