忻东旺，男，（1963—2014）。1963年生于河北省张家口康保县忻家坊村。先后任教于山西师范大学美术系、天津美术学院油画系、清华大学美术学院绘画系，中国美术家协会会员。 2014年1月11日18:30因淋巴癌去世，享年51岁。
自上世纪90年代中期以来，画家忻东旺的现实主义油画艺术在中国画坛上无疑是一朵绚丽的奇葩。
