墨白，本名孙郁，先锋小说家，剧作家。1956年农历十月初十出生于河南省周口市淮阳区。1992年调入周口地区文联《颍水》杂志社任文学编辑，1998年调入河南省文学院专业创作。曾获第25届电视剧“飞天奖”优秀中篇奖、第25届电视剧“飞天奖”优秀编剧奖。
许多作家都有自己的创作情结，本文把墨白的创作情结归结为颍河镇情结。
