Tu quoque fallacy
INTERJ you likewise: a retort made by a person accused of a crime implying that the accuser is also guilty of the same crime
A good debater recognizes that resorting to a tu quoque only weakens one's position in the argument.
Definitions : Like the appeal to authority and ad populum fallacies, the ad hominem ("against the person") and tu quoque ("you, too!")
定义:诉诸权威或者群众是论证中的谬误,指向个人(ad hominem 也就是英文 against the person)以及“你也如此”(tu quoque 也就是英文 you, too!)
In a tu quoque argument, the arguer points out that the opponent has actually done the thing he or she is arguing against, and so the opponent's argument shouldn't be listened to.
