黄椒,已有近300年的栽培历史。其株叶形与辣椒相近,果实成熟前青绿色,老熟果呈黄色、果实细长,约20-25cm,单果重5-10g,一般亩产鲜黄椒1200kg左右。黄椒果实外表及果肉黄色,肉厚、营养丰富,特别是含辣椒素多,辣味浓、辣得平和、均匀,风味独特。
蔬菜一般是西红柿、黄瓜和大个的黄椒等。
