西洲(Xīzhóu)在增城县城西南33.4公里。属新塘镇。南宋庆元三年(1197)广 东茶盐提举徐安国隐居于此。因河涌纵横，土地肥沃，故名金洲；明嘉靖年间(1522—1566) 分东、西两部，因处西部故称此名。2.
