白园是为了纪念唐代大诗人白居易而修建的，此园依山而建，峰翠水碧，秀丽古雅。白园坐落于洛阳市城南13公里处的龙门东山琵琶峰上，占地44亩，这里东西两山对峙。伊河由南向北穿山而过，一桥飞架东西；宛若一道彩虹。 1988年，日本中国文化显彰会为白园捐立石碑，以纪念白居易，碑文用中、日两种文字书写。1995年，4个日本人于此上书“樱献”。
