王慎行 1942年7月生，陕西西安人。1960年考入陕西师范大学数学系，因故辍学。1984年结业于教育部委托吉林大学于省吾教授主办的“全国古文字讲师研究班”。曾荣获陕西省自学成才一等奖和全国自学成才奖。现为陕西省社会科学院副研究员、《人文杂志》社历史编辑。系中国古文字研究会、中国先秦史学会、中国殷商文化学会、中国秦文化学会等12个学术团体的会员。
由著名作家如王蒙，铁凝和莫言执笔的中国文学作品经过翻译和谨慎行销已经在世界各地的许多国家出版。
