熊文韵，1955.5生，女，四川邻水人。擅长中国画， 现居北京。早年下乡插队，1979年考入四川美术学院，1983年毕业于四川美术学院国画专业。1987年，熊文韵去日本留学。1993年，她在筑波大学日本画专业取得硕士学位。熊文韵辗转的留学经历造成了她艺术风格上不断求新求变的特点，从中国画到日本画，从架上到摄影，熊文韵是一个勇于挑战自我的女艺术家。
在个人艺术实践的基础上熊文韵继而尝试与更广泛的社会机制发生联系。
Building on her foundations as an established individual artist, Xiong Wenyun attempted to connect with the far-reaching mechanisms of society.
“我非常希望《流动的彩虹》沿着这通过世界屋背的路上，将唤醒人们对自然生态和人类环境的关心，”熊文韵这样说道。
She says, "I hoped very much that the moving rainbows would awaken people's concern for the natural ecology and the human environment along these roads that run across the roof of the world."
熊文韵并不是一个专业摄影家，然而她的这些以摄影和录像呈现的作品具有直接的感染力，给人们带来了审美的惊喜、愉悦和思考。
Though photography is not her only medium, Xiong Wenyun's works in photography and video possess an infectious strength, in which aesthetic beauty is surprising, joyful, and thoughtful.
