生于宋太宗雍熙四年（987），卒于宋真宗天禧三年（1O19）。宋真宗大中祥符二年（1OO9）己酉科状元。“梁固为乙酉科状元梁颢之子。其年少时，即有志节，曾著《汉春秋》，倍受其父赞赏。梁固本已以父荫受赐进士出身，但其主动向登闻院提出收回成命，愿赴多举以真才实学获取功名，后高中榜首时，年仅二十二岁。中状元后，被授将作监丞，入值史馆，历户部判官、判户部勾院。梁固为人气调俊爽，善与人交，疏财慷慨，尚义气，明于吏道。马元方领三司时，临事多有纰漏，梁固屡奏朝廷，消除了财源流失之弊。
