张舜徽（1911年7月-1992年11月）湖南沅江县人。华中师范大学历史系教授，博士生导师；中国历史文献研究会会长等。中国现代著名历史学家、文献学家，长于校勘、版本、目录、声韵、文字之学。出生于书香世家，自幼由父亲自授业，后又转益多师，从小到大，走的是自学之路。在华中师范大学执教40年之久，曾任中国历史文献研究会会长，是中国第一位历史文献学博士生导师。一生完成学术著作24部共计八百万字。精于“小学”，博通四部，成为一代“通人”大家。其学术著作全部由毛笔撰写完成。
