大岭(dà lǐng)原名诸家镇。在新丰县城西南8公里。属梅坑镇。明 隆庆三年(1569)在大岭山设置镇使、镇将。因镇使诸金里（河源人）落籍此地，故名诸家镇。民国30年(1941)乡政府驻此，因处大岭乡政府驻此，因处大岭此名。
