佳甜是北京市农林科学院林果所从湖北山楂实生苗中选出的优良株系。果实扁圆形,果肩部棱角较明显,平均单果重4.6克。果皮鲜红色;果肉橙黄,酸甜适口,肉质细,较松软。可食率80.8%;贮藏期80天左右。100克鲜果可食部分含可溶性糖9.54克,可滴定酸1.43克,维生素C40.74毫克。北京地区9月下旬果实成熟。四倍体2n=68。该品系适应性强,树体成形快,丰产稳产,果实较早熟,品质上,是鲜食佳品,也是良好的绿化树种。
