Nathanael asked him, 'How do you come to know me?

And Nathanael said to him, Can anything good be from Nazareth?

Nathanael introduces us to doubt. He doubts that anything good can come from Nazareth.

49then Nathanael declared, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel."
