耶和华又呼唤撒母耳。撒母耳起来、到以利那里说、你呼唤我、我在这里。以利回答说、我的儿、我没有呼唤你、你去睡罢。
And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.

Elijah replied, 'I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, broken down your altars, and put your prophets to death with a sword.
