With the blessing of founder and Karma-designer Henryk Fisker, the tiny VL team set about converting several extended-range electric Karmas to gasoline-only propulsion.
With revised, more Euro-sports styling, the VL Destino shed over 1, 400 lbs from the battery version, which weight loss should provide brain-addling performance almost equal to the Corvette ZR-1, but in a socially-responsible 4-door family sedan.
In an ironic twist, one of the showstoppers is the VL Destino, which strips the Karma of its electric drive-train and inserts a fire-breathing, 638-horsepower Corvette ZR-1 gas engine in its place.
