The five-speed manual is easy to use, if a bit slow, but then again, the old Jag motor is so torquey that you can leave the car in third gear for most jobs, and the brakes stop with the kind of easy retardation that speaks of modern discs and light weight.
Even though it's still in the early phases of beta-testing, we were able to stop by the Moog Music factory for a closer look and a brief glimpse of the gear in action ahead of its appearance at Moogfest.
