In May 2010 in a study involving 275 children vaccinated with the MMR vaccine, who demonstrated regressive autism and bowel disease, the Wake Forest University School of Medicine reported that of the 82 so far tested 70 proved positive for measles virus all of which was the vaccine measles strain none were wild measles strains.
The boy, who tested positive for the H7N9 virus, is considered a carrier of the strain and has been placed under observation to see if he develops symptoms, health authorities said.
