Sophia Antipolis, 28 January 2013: The radial approach for percutaneouscoronary interventions (PCI) was developed 20 years ago and is used for more than 50% of procedures in France, Scandinavian countries, the UK, Spain and Italy.
The trial showed that patients randomized to chelation therapy had a lower risk of a combined endpoint of death, heart attack, stroke, percutaneouscoronary intervention, bypass surgery or hospitalization for angina than those who received a placebo infusion.
