The map was drawn up by the World Resources Institute, South Dakota University and IUCN, for the Global Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration ahead of the launch of the United Nations International Year of Forests 2011.
The size of the game terrain would normally be limited by available system resources, since just the contours of a single map can weigh up to 128MB -- too burdensome for most systems to store, process and display in real-time.
This integration is currently on track to allow them to connect the following systems: student information, data portal, learning management, gradebook, curriculum map, collaboration tools, portfolios, and digital assets (learning resources).
Both the map and Compass will be updated over the coming months to showcase additional resources and projects.

"We don't have the resources in those places ... it is not easy, but we are trying to map out locations where albinos live so that we can better protect them, " he said.
