As is so often the case in other areas, our public landscape and the architecture profession are shaped by only a small fraction of our potential collective genius, and limited by the creative absence of so many.
The only underlying theme seems to be a traditional Scandinavian focus on architecture's close relationship to landscape, nature and the weather (inescapable in Norway), and a consistent ability to think outside the box.
