Many other new vehicles being unveiled this week are small, fuel-efficient models, including a second Prius model from Toyota, a redesigned HondaCivic, the new Chevrolet Sonic and the Buick Verano.
Honda President Takanobu Ito acknowledged the cool reception for the newCivic on Tuesday, telling reporters in Tokyo that he took personal responsibility for the problematic launch.
As a test case for hydrogen refueling, Honda will also offer to Civic GX buyers in California and New York a home refueling unit cheekily called Phill.
And while there are other new and overhauled entries in the subcompact segment including an improved HondaCivic clearly there are a lot of car-on-car comparisons going on these days between Sonic and Fiesta.
