According to a recent survey by business networking organization ExecuNet, 90% of recruiters used a search engine to learn more about candidates and 46% of recruiters had eliminated a candidate based on information they found online.
But the loss seems implicit rather than explicit: Schmidt's search engine firm held at 33%, keeping its customer base steady even as the overall market grew, the survey said.
However, findings from a Greenlight survey suggest that Facebook could potentially capture close to a quarter of the search market with its own search engine.
