Together we left for parts unknown (to both of us, as it turned out), taking a minimally marked, extremely difficult hike that brought us up through deciduous to coniferousforest and back again in about six hours.
This transboundary is located in the Central European Biogeographical Region, and is characterized by boreal coniferous forests and temperate zone deciduous forest at the junction.
