The on-balance volume (OBV) has also turned positive, as it formed a bullishdivergence (line e) at the recent lows and then moved through its downtrend (line d).
This put the trader on notice to watch the action the following week, as the bullishdivergence (higher OBV at point 2 then at point 1) was a positive sign.
This is known as a bullishdivergence, and suggests that even though there were signs of panic selling last week, it was not as heavy as it was in August.
