After a series of recorded phone calls and text messages, Wei was arrested as he attempted to board a flight boundfor China at JFK International Airport in NewYork on Feb. 3 on charges of bribing a federal official.
The attacks on NewYork and Washington seem bound to encourage some people to call for the United States to draw back from its extensive military commitments around the world, to reduce its links to multilateral institutions, and to concentrate on its own narrowly defined interests and security.
